MTV Digital is seeking a freelance Digital Producer to join the MTV Style team. Digital Producers are creative individuals and adept online curators with a strict attention to detail, who are quick to take initiative and above all, are team players. They are fans of fashion, the internet, pop-culture, music and MTV. The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, experienced in creating content for digital platforms and thrives in a fast paced environment.

The MTV Style Digital Producer is responsible for the daily production and site quality. Working under the strategic direction of the VP of Production, the producer oversees promotional assets, including image selection, copywriting, curation of content mix and publishing of assets. The position works in tandem with the Style editorial and video teams and coordinates with Tech, Project Management, Design, Integrated Marketing and Photography teams.

- Minimum 3-5 years in online media production based role.
- Be highly organized, detail-oriented and a creative thinker.
- Knowledge of HTML, XML, Flash, Adobe and other common web-publishing technologies.
- Familiar with social platforms including Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, Viddy, and Pinterest.
- Command of SEO/SEM and social media best practices.
- Experience with Wordpress, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, HTML editing tools and content management systems a must.
- Passion for MTV brand and deep knowledge of pop culture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Editorial background a plus.
- Schedule flexibility and willingness to work evening and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities Include:
- Managing and overseeing site updates.
- Maintaining quality content and presentation.
- Creating and managing schedule and timeline.
- Creating and executing updates on MTV Style’s social media platforms.
- Collaborating with editorial team to generate sponsor opportunities and working with Ad Sales Production and Integrated Marketing to develop and execute these ideas.
- Work directly with tech, design and project management teams to create new products and sites as well as improve and maintain existing.
- Work with editorial team to develop ways to increase site traffic through SEO, SEM and social media best practices.
- Track traffic metrics and usage patterns on all platforms to improve and maximize streams/views.
