ZipList, Inc. is the technology leader in universal online and mobile shopping lists and recipe boxes.  The robust technology ZipList provides is simple: digital and mobile users can populate their universal recipe box and shopping list with recipes from anywhere on the web, including food sites, e-cookbooks, and blogs.  They can also save recipes to their universal recipe box using texts and QR codes, or via their mobile device.  Combining this robust functionality with the high-quality content available on Epicurious and other Conde Nast food brands, enables consumers to have a one-stop digital recipe and shopping list network offering tremendous ease and flexibility.

We are seeking leader and change-agent in shopper marketing who can partner with the Epicurious sales team and lead the ZipList shopper marketing team to bring ZipList to top customers and markets to serve as an Director of Sales.  This role is responsible for bringing our game changing advertising product to market and drive innovation in the space.

Primary Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to creating sales strategies, collaborating on proposals and presentations for core accounts across all relevant advertising categories in the country to run on ZipList.  This individual would also personally manage the top five CPG accounts and two dedicated sales people in 2013.  This position can be located either in New York City or Chicago.  Identifying shopper marketing decisions makers and helping the sales team to start to tap into these budgets is a key part of 2012 success. 
Similarly, creating demand among advertisers to include “add to recipe box” or “add to grocery list” to their advertising will be a critical KPI for the role. 
Once the market has been established, this role will shift to be account focused.  In 2013, the role will evolve and you will have a dedicated CPG list from which you will secure ad dollars for ZipList, Epicurious and Gourmet Live.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate possesses
-         At least 10 yrs of combined digital advertising sales and shopper market expertise; including a proven ability to sell shopper marketing plans that enhance sales performance and  plan, develop, and implement online sales strategies.
-         Deep contacts in the CPG category and shopper marketing venue.  
-         Ability to produce quick, effective results
-         Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation techniques are essential to this role
-         Proven experience managing a sales team
