The Role
Bloomberg Mobile is seeking a product manager who will help manage our growing portfolio of mobile products for consumers. The mobile product manager will be responsible for helping develop the vision and strategy for mobile and managing the entire product life cycle from planning to execution to ongoing management post launch. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading the conceptualization, design, development, launch and ongoing support of worldclass mobile products in a consumer oriented company. This position reports to the Head of Mobile Products.

Responsibilities include:
-Develop business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications
-Develop and manage project plans and roadmaps
-Manage prioritization and trade-offs among features, user experience and performance
-Partner with the development team to develop and manage the products
-Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial and technical goals
-Keep all the stakeholders well informed at all times
-The successful candidate will be a self starter able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality and easy to use mobile products that users love.

Job Qualifications:
-7+ years work experience in related positions with increasing responsibility
-3+ years as a product manager on successful projects for digital media products (web, mobile etc) in a leading consumer media or news brand. Experience with mobile video products, delivery and measurement across all mobile platforms a strong plus.
-Demonstrated track record in software architecture and experience working through the full software development lifecycle
-Excellent project management skills and experience managing multiple large date driven projects simultaneously
-Demonstrated success defining and launching high quality products in a consumer media or news oriented company
-Good understanding of customer-focused design and usability principles
-Results-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
-Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
-Highly motivated strategic thinker with strong technical background
-BA/BS required

-Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills (includes advanced ability to use tools such as Excel); ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases. Ability to clearly communicate data insights to others.
-Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager /owner mentality
