Harper Perennial and Harper Paperbacks, imprints of HarperCollins Publishers, seeks a Senior Marketing Manager/Associate Director to oversee and implement the traditional and digital marketing campaigns for a wide array of paperbacks and eBooks, including reprints, original publications, and backlist . Candidate must be capable of big picture thinking and detail oriented follow through.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Conceive and execute the marketing campaigns for 20-30 paperbacks per season, working closely with authors and agents as campaigns unfold
• Communicate directly with editors, authors and agents about campaigns – from presentation through execution
• Manage the imprint’s online presence as well as that of our books and authors through our various social media platforms
• Conceive and execute backlist promotions in both e and p formats
• Secure title specific as well as imprint-wide cross promotional partnerships with third party brands and companies
• Manage and maintain the marketing budget
•With Associate Publisher, manage the career development and oversee daily tasks of a department Marketing Coordinator

Qualifications:
• Must possess college degree or equivalent work experience
• 5-7 years of consumer marketing experience in book publishing or media
• Experience marketing paperbacks and ebooks to consumers, experience in marketing backlist a plus
• Ability to present to large groups and in meetings with authors and agents
• Up-to-date knowledge of the digital publishing landscape, devises and retail channels
• A positive can-do attitude and ability to work well with different types of personalities
