Boutique brand strategy, marketing communications, and design firm in NYC is seeking a Digital Media Planner/Buyer with digital and traditional outdoor media experience to join their Media team.

Media team plays an important role in our commitment to delivering integrated brand solutions. They are responsible for developing, purchasing and executing plans which maximize the brand message and the consumer experience. As a function, media planning provides detailed rationale for how a client’s media budget should be spent (i.e. digital, print, broadcast, outdoor). Our team also guides our clients on how to optimize spending against budget.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include: • Plan, create and prepare media plans both Digital and traditional (outdoor, TV, radio, and print media) • Manage client budget maintenance and vendor contract stewardship; can easily answer questions pertaining to status of account (stage of plan, or buys; current workflow for team; and client billings) • Gathering of pre/post log times and continuous follow-up with vendors to ensure flawless airing of schedules; monitor placement of media activity • Cultivating relationships with the Media Sales community • Provides media analysis, perspective, strategy, planning, execution (buying) and post-buy review for clients. • Maintain an intimate knowledge of all social media platforms available. Be first on the block for new media • Perform target and market analysis using syndicated media research software; preparing competitive reports and insights • Maintaining daily communication with clients, Account Services team and Creative staff • Assistance with new business pitches as appropriate • Create insertion orders; Review and reconcile media invoices; Organize vendor meetings and prepare client presentations and proposals

The ideal candidate has a high aptitude for all things digital and should have:

• Bachelors degree with 3-4 years of digital media experience at an agency; experience working in a media planning or buying position preferably at an advertising or media agency

• An active interest in everything digital, ideally with an understanding of online advertising industry trends

• Self-starter with lots of initiative – the ability to manage your own workload and identify ways to do things better is crucial

• Must have excellent and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, detail-orientation, follow-though skills. • Experience managing and dealing with high-level relationships, internally and with clients and / or vendors • Must be hard-working, have a can do attitude, and thrive in a fast-paced environment • An appetite for transformational thinking • Computer proficiency in MAC and all MS Office products
