Conde Nast seeks an Associate Web Editor for a full-timestaff position.  
Working closely with the web director and print team, the associateweb editor shapes the editorial vision and strategy of the site intwo key ways: he/she manages the blog (writing, assigning, editing,building) and helps oversee the production of articles, slideshows,and hubs. The role also involves updating the calendar, sourcingphotos, generating traffic reports, and engaging with readers/fanson various social media platforms.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage edit calendar on a daily basis
  • Assign and edit blog posts
  • Update home page, landing/index pages
  • Work with producers and interns to maintain daily productioncycle
  • Coordinate with print team: Photos, market coverage, weblines,etc.
  • Oversee social media: Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Top edit content on site and in newsletters with SEO inmind
  • Produce daily and monthly traffic reports
  • Help with major franchise packages and tent-poles
  • Find new writers, videographers, and content creators
  • Manage editorial billing and writer contracts
  • Coordinate sweepstakes/contests
  • Proven writing/editing experience
  • 3 years or more of web editing experience at a major site
  • CMS skills (we use Teamsite and Moveable Type, etc.)
  • Basic HTML
  • Familiarity with metrics/stats and reporting (Omniture orGoogle Analytics)
  • Social media savvy
  • Some experience working with third-party vendors in linksswaps, joint-ventures and syndication
  • Appreciation for men’s lifestyle topics: fashion, health,entertainment
