The Role
Bloomberg Media Group is seeking an experienced Business Analyst/Project Manager with experience in digital media. The BA/PM role will focus on products that support the media division's digital media creation, storage and delivery needs by working across our broadcast, syndication, web and mobile divisions.

This BA/PM will help drive strategy, concept, and execution for multimedia products by providing tools & features that contribute to the best possible media/news experience for our customers. The selected candidate will manage the product life cycle from planning to execution, and ongoing improvements & enhancements of existing products. The incumbent will need to think independently while working across media verticals and influence cross functional teams without formal authority.

-Develop and manage concepts, business models, project plans, and roadmaps.
-Partner with engineering, syndication, sales, editorial and other teams to develop and manage products.
-Manage requirement and design creation for your products.
-Manage prioritization and trade-offs among features, user experience and performance.
-Proactively identify and resolve strategic and tactical issues.
-Independently drive product efforts for various media products.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
-Understanding of production workflows including editing, storage, metadata management, & online delivery.
-Understanding of Content Management Systems, Online Delivery Platforms and delivery mechanisms.
-Solid understanding of Digital Asset Management and best practices.
-Forward thinking ideas and opinions about creating the next generation of media storage and delivery systems.
-Strong ownership and capability to take a product from concept to reality.
-Ability to think critically about poorly defined problems and devise long-term solutions.
-Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
-Ability to think strategically and execute methodically; Strong team-orientation.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is the norm.
-Ability to discuss the technical components involved with digital media creation, storage & delivery.

-3+ years recent/relevant experience as a business analyst/project manager in broadcast and online media environments
-Experience with Digital Asset Management systems and digital media formats including transcoding technology.
-Experience managing projects that power online and mobile media experiences.
-Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and excellent project management skills.
-Demonstrated success defining and launching high quality products in a consumer or media company.
-Good understanding of customer-focused design and usability principles.
-Results-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Experience documenting user workflows and creating future state workflows.
