Conde Nast seeks a Features Assistant - Vogue for a full-time staff position.  
 
 
Overview/Purpose
 
Each month, this features assistant will be responsible for helping the social editor and a senior editor with various front-of-book sections and center-of-book fashion portfolios as well as special issues and book projects. In addition the assistant will conduct photo research for Vogue.com’s weekly Best Dressed section, write heds and deks for the editors’ stories, arrange and book travel for writers on assignment, and complete essential administrative tasks.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
 
-         Research for front-of-book sections, the annual Best Dressed special issue, and book projects like VOGUE Weddings: Brides Dresses Designers
-         Compile photographs from photography wire services each week for Vogue.com’s Best Dressed posts
-         Write heds and deks for Flash, Nostalgia, Up Front, and Index sections as well as center-of-book fashion portfolios
-         Arrange and book travel for writers on assignment
-         Complete essential administrative tasks for the social editor and senior editor
 
Requirements:
 
-         In-depth knowledge of fashion news and personalities, trends, and history and familiarity with VOGUE
-         Must possess a keen awareness of current events
-         Should be detail-oriented, able to work well under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
-         Must possess excellent writing and fact-checking skills and knowledge of grammar
-         Proficiency in the Microsoft suite and InDesign, among other programs
-         Must be a college graduate
