iCrossing is looking for a motivated individual to join our New York Digital Media team as an Associate Media Director.

The Associate Media Director serves as the leader for a large team or multiple teams of media professionals. The position is focused on the strategic elements of media planning, client expertise, financial management of owned accounts, and ensuring excellence in delivering media plans to market.

Responsibilities:

Media Skills

Oversees the media planning process from beginning through final delivery
Directs team(s) comprised of Media Supervisor(s), Media Planner(s), and Assistant Planners
Finalizes and presents Media Objectives and Strategy documents for larger efforts and periodic quarterly and annual planning
Drives innovation/experimentation efforts
Looks for opportunities to expand existing and sell new business to clients
Prepares staffing requirements for new business
Financial management of team resources
Master of media math and how to apply calculations; proficiency in working with and managing numbers
Manages negotiations for high value and/or complex packages
Supports the needs of Media Director/Group/VP/SVP Media Director
Responsible for Media Audit and material preparation for audit needs

Project Management

Demonstrates highly organized team management, specifically in the efficient use of staff across multiple projects
Prioritization setting for team

Communication Skills

Ability to direct and appropriately delegate tasks to Media Supervisors, Media Planners, and Assistant Planners effectively
Active participant in sales representative meetings
Evolves relationships with sales community, proactively looks for larger partnership opportunities for clients
Demonstrates expertise in presentation and sales capabilities

Client Management

Leads client meetings
Manages client inquiries regarding plan or team
Viewed as a strong strategic resource for client
Respected as a leader of the broader team
On point to liaise between client and project management

Teamwork/People/Corporate Citizenship

Positively participates in team environment
Gives and receives critical feedback gracefully
Manages performance metrics, goals and career path for team
Proposes professional development needs for team members
Promotes healthy relationships amongst team members
Builds relationships with relevant partners in agency
Leader for cross-departmental process and communication needs

Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
* 8+ years experience in field of online advertising, previously in a Media Supervisor role
* Experience working specifically within a digital media department
* Experience in working in both direct response and brand driven media environments
* Management lead in a multi-team environment
* Passion for digital marketing
* Detail oriented and organized
* Proven negotiation skills and sales relationships
* Experience with agency finance principals
* Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and with general Web based interfaces
* Experience working with DART for Advertisers or other relevant 3rd party adserver
