The Role
Bloomberg's web product group is seeking an experienced internet product manager to drive content features on Businessweek.com.

You will work with editorial and business development teams to conceive and nurture content partnerships, for sourcing and for distribution. Increase businessweek.com's value to our users. Broaden businessweek.com's reach. Develop sustainable workflows and architectures to support inbound and outbound content streams. Bring users content experiences that are high-value, deeply engaging, and unique in the marketplace.

You'll manage products throughout their life cycle, from conception to planning to execution and ongoing growth. We're looking for a candidate with a proven ability to think independently within an internet environment, and who has grappled creatively and effectively with the challenges confronting media sites today.

-Independently drive content partnership efforts for the Businessweek.com product team
-Develop and manage concepts, business models, project plans, and roadmaps
-Partner with the editorial, business development, engineering, marketing, and other teams to develop and manage products
-Manage requirement and design creation for your products
-Manage prioritization and trade-offs among features, user experience and performance
-Proactively identify and resolve strategic and tactical issues

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
-Strong ownership and capability to take a product from concept to reality
-Ability to think critically about poorly defined problems and devise clear, creative, efficient solutions
-Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
-Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
-Strong teamwork skills

-3+ years as an internet product manager
-Demonstrated recent/relevant success defining and launching high quality products in a consumer or media company
-Excellent project management skills
-Experience managing multiple large data-driven projects simultaneously
-Good understanding of customer-focused design and usability principles
-Results-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
-Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
-Understanding of software architecture and experience working through the full software development lifecycle
