Marketing Manager – Teen titles

Scholastic’s trade publishing division is hiring a marketing manager for its teen titles and outreach. The trade marketing department is responsible for creating consumer-based marketing campaigns and supporting sales to national and independent retailers. This manager would be responsible for conception and execution of marketing plans for teen novels published under Scholastic Press, Point, Push, and Arthur A. Levine Books imprints. In addition, this position’s responsibility would include growing and managing our This is Teen community, through print and online channels, including our Facebook, Twitter and other social media accounts. Position reports to Director of Marketing.

Job responsibilities:

•Brainstorm and execute marketing plans for individual titles
•Create and execute strategies to grow teen fan base via social media outlets: Facebook, Twitter, etc.
•Create and manage content calendar for social media outlets
•Present marketing plans at key meetings
•Communicate plans to sales reps, editors, and authors as appropriate
•Manage creation of advertising and other collateral to support the books
•Stay abreast of current trends in marketing and messaging to teens


•Highly organized, articulate, energetic and a "team player"
•Good writing and communication skills
•Familiarity with social media - Facebook, Twitter, etc.
•College degree required
