What to, published by Everyday Health, Inc., is the online home to Heidi Murkoff’s globally recognized parenting and pregnancy brand, offering original content and innovative tools for preconception, pregnancy, and parenting every step of the way. Our site has millions of unique monthly visitors and an active, supportive community of parents and parents-to-be.

We have a unique opportunity for a talented Senior Editor who has experience with online media to join our small but growing What to Expect team. We are looking for an editor who can capture the voice and tone of the brand/author, assign and edit top quality content, regularly contribute to new projects, and execute ongoing initiatives (mobile, video, social, etc ). Our ideal candidate has strong writing and editing skills, deep knowledge of the parenting/pregnancy space, is careful and detail oriented, and can work on multiple projects at once, while adhering to strict deadlines. Experience with managing and top editing assistant- and associate-level staff, and working collaboratively with technology, product, and brand/content partners, a must.

Daily site tasks include:
Regularly embodying the voice and tone of the brand.
Creating, organizing, and editing new content, and making appropriate updates to existing content
Using the principles of SEO to create compelling and highly trafficked site content
Assisting in management of associate editor, production assistant, and freelance contributors, including assigning and editing content and overseeing production tasks
Contributing to the writing, editing, and/or top editing of the daily e-newsletters, Q&As, photo galleries, and feature articles
Collaborating with community, mobile, and social media teams to create and maintain editorial calendar and promotion plans

5+ years writing/editing experience, with at least some experience working on parenting, pregnancy, and or health and wellness topics.
At least 2 years online experience.
College degree, preferably with English or journalism concentration or equivalent experience.
Basic understanding of HTML and online media.
Strong writing, editing, research, communication, and management skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines effectively and multitask.
Interest in and/or experience with health or women's lifestyle content.
