Deputy Editor, Copy (1587)
The deputy editor, copy, for the Hearst Design Group will manage the trafficking and copy flow for its three magazines. The deputy editor will oversee the features copy department; copyedit and fact-check stories; copy-fit layouts; line edit text; and write display text as needed. The deputy editor will also back up the managing editor on the day-to-day production of Elle Décor and file copyright paperwork for the three brands.
-Excel, InCopy, InDesign, WoodWing
-Excellent copy editing and fact-checking skills
-Should be able to write good display text as well line edit manuscripts as needed
-Strong communication skills important
-Should have solid experience and knowledge of print production workflowsCandidates must be trained in New York City but can work remotely.
