Modern Healthcare is seeking a Strategic Marketing Director to join the sales and marketing team in the Chicago office.



Responsibilities Include:


•Hands-on marketing professional will work collaboratively with the publishing leadership team to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for Modern Healthcare magazine, digital and all other related products

•Leadership in the development and execution of new events as well as maintaining and growing current events portfolio. The events portfolio includes virtual (webinars, conferences), physical events (education conferences, awards dinners, etc.), as well as tradeshows.

•Develop, design, manage, and execute marketing materials and collateral for print, digital, events and new product channels. Work product is broad in nature and spans everything from developing the media kit and promotions to our social networking presence.

¦Media Kits
¦Promotional Mailers
¦Email Campaigns
¦Readership Study design and facilitation
¦Print and digital advertisement design and execution
¦Marketing and execution of webinars
¦Development and implementation of events and conferences
¦Tradeshow site marketing (booths, partnership management)
¦Lead generation programs

•Create critical information feedback loops from various sources including external and internal stakeholders, readership assessments, surveys and website metrics to measure and continually improve the impact of our marketing initiatives.


Requirements



•Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field, or equivalent work experience.

•Minimum 7+ years experience in Marketing and Brand Development, specific experience in Publishing and Multi-media is essential.

•Good writing and creative skills to create and communicate custom advertising programs in a compelling way.

•Skilled in or knowledge of CS4(5), Flash, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat.

•Experience with leveraging online usage data from sources like Google, Omniture, etc.

•Experience developing visual cues in direct response materials in collaboration with an A/B test environment for audience development.

•Strong leadership and consensus building skills; marketing management and strategic planning experience.

•Ability to spot trends and act upon them with a sense of urgency

•A track record of brand building.

•Strong project management and organizational skills.

•A proven track record in brand building; and developing and implementing successful marketing programs.

•Sales or sales management background is a plus.
