AOL Inc. is now seeking a Data Analyst intern to join our Paid Services team, based in Dulles, Virginia.  If you are comfortable with a fast-paced production schedule and a knack for “digging” into the data this is an excellent opportunity to work at one of the leading internet companies in the country. This individual will work as part of the Paid Services Call Center Operations team to provide insight into process improvement initiatives, membership retention trends and key agent performance metrics.  The analysis will then be used to help guide process and policy decisions, understand call volume forecast impacts and create incentive payout files.  A cool head, grace under pressure, and the ability to work alongside a variety of skill levels and personalities will be the keys to success.  Must be a team player.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
•    Produce daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports relating to outcomes based on the data analysis for various audiences, including management, operations and product teams
•    Create dashboards for senior management and various business units, synthesizing data from various sources
•    Provide quick-turn-around responses to ad-hoc data queries
•    Provide your perspective to help continuously improve the AOL member experience
•    Pitch in as needed on team projects and larger AOL initiatives as they come up

Our Great Expectations:
•    Proficiency in MS Excel and Access is required, including manipulating large data sets
•    Basic SQL coding, SAS, SPSS or experience with producing infographics a plus
•    A data junkie, with a passion for numbers and the curiosity to analyze the data to tell the story
•    Detail-oriented and organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Proactive and willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
•    Able to take direction and work independently, creatively, and quickly
•    Disciplined and attentive to detail
•    An organized multi-tasker who can self-manage his or her time and proactively work under shifting deadlines in a fast paced environment

What We Look For:
•    Currently enrolled college freshman, sophomore, junior or senior
•    Someone who enjoys building spreadsheets to capture, crunch and analyze data and creating PowerPoint presentations to tell the story
•    Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel & PowerPoint
•    The ability to work with PCs and Macs
•    Endless energy and ideas, with a can-do attitude
•    Intelligent and articulate; Excellent communication skills are a must
•    Detail-oriented and organized
•    Positive, collaborative team player who can work well with internal teams
•    Adaptable - able to change priorities rapidly and thrives under pressure
•    Focused with keen ability & drive to execute in a fast paced, ever changing environment
