Paid Services Search Engine Marketing Intern
Time Frame: October 2012 – May 2013
Location: Dulles, VA
Hours: Part-time 20 hours/week

Are you data junkie who falls asleep at night dreaming of pivot tables and ways to optimize search engines?  We may have the perfect dream sequence for you!  Our Paid Services marketing team is seeking a part-time college intern who wants to gain practical experience with search engine, paid and direct marketing optimization techniques.  This internship will provide the opportunity to hone critical thinking skills and apply your statistical analysis skills to the world of marketing and driving segmentation and channel mix optimization.

•    Assist Paid Services marketing team with keyword research and competitor benchmarking.
•    Assist with designing and analyzing tests to drive new insights.
•    Run reports to understand performance of marketing campaigns, spot trends and opportunities, and respond proactively.
•    Participate in team meetings, share work with larger acquisition team.
•    Provide administrative support to the department and assist with special projects.

What we look for:
•    You’re a currently enrolled college rising Junior or Senior majoring in marketing, advertising, business, economics or technology.
•    Attention to details is your life’s mantra.
•    You’re familiar with online marketing channels and internet savvy.
•    You’re BFFs with Excel and can utilize it to create formulas, pivot tables, trending charts, etc.
•    You have the ability to create order from chaos, to solve problems creatively and to remain flexible and open minded in the face of stuff that might not be.
•    You’re a self-motivator who proactively looks for ways to make a difference and require limited hand-holding.
•    You’re able to follow-up with project partners to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables.
•    You can verbally communicate like a champ with a variety of social types without fear of a TKO.
