About the Role:
The overriding purpose of this role is to act as a product and brand evangelist for Engadget and to work with editorial leads at the site to dream up, map out and implement new opportunities to extend the site's reach. We're looking to expand into entirely new fields, and this person will lead the charge in those expansion efforts.

Core Functions:

-Work with editorial to map out specific goals for Engadget events
-Interfacing with AOL Events team to ensure all logistics are buttoned up
-Work with leads from major product companies and relentlessly pursue leads in order to establish and develop partnerships
-Managing contracts and partnership agreements
-Interface with potential retail partners, i.e. Best Buy, Amazon to expand review exposure
-Pitching, executing and managing new revenue stream opportunities in untapped fields (live Engadget Show at meetups, panels at trade shows, TV commercials, sponsorships, etc.).
-Working tightly with Sales so that they have a firm understanding of upcoming products and the information required to make a good pitch.
-This role will expand and grow over time, as new revenue opportunities are created, pursued and achieved by the individual.

-6+ years of experience in technology management, marketing, media or entrepreneurial endeavors
-Flexible, adaptive business thinker who can quickly get up to speed on new ideas, fill in the gaps, and execute.
-Aptitude, intelligence, temperament and drive.
-Must know the personal tech space extremely well and have a proven track record of creating something out of nothing
-Worship the Engadget brand.
-Strong contacts across top personal technology firms (apple, MSFT, Sony, HTC, Samsung, etc.)
-Distinct proof of generating new products or company pivots from scratch and driving to success
-Experience with product engineering and a deep interest in products is a PLUS
-Familiarity with experience in venture capital a PLUS
-Avid Engadget reader
-Passionate about evangelism of the Engadget Brand
