AOL Video is seeking an Inventory and Yield Manager to join our Video Operations team.

The primary purpose of this position is ownership for inventory and yield management for AOL video inventory. The incumbent is responsible for inventory and yield management in the pre-sale and post-sale process, which includes teaming with regional/category/national sales professionals on all assigned accounts to drive additional revenue and overachieve on the team’s goals. The incumbent will ensure proposal competitiveness, client satisfaction and AOL Video Advertising’s business health through deal or campaign performance optimization; develop innovative alternatives to existing deals or campaigns; and communicate with partners and appropriate internal departments on these initiatives.

Works with internal sales professionals to develop competitive packages in the marketplace, provide deal evaluation, sales negotiations, revisions and follow-up in a timely fashion.
Maintains relationships and manages the day-to-day business relationships with internal sales clients and identifies growth and upsell opportunities on key accounts.

Responsible for pricing, yield management, margins and analytical guidance.

Serves as primary point of contact to existing internal clients on issues regarding inventory and yield management (RFPs, post-sales).

Effectively optimizes campaign performance by recommending adjustments to inventory and creative components of the campaign.

Track and analyze usage trends.

Deliver on all role specific accountability metrics and goals.

Manage inventory and yield through the pre and post-sale processes using various third-party ad servers and systems.

Work with the internal sales team through effective communication, problem solving and accuracy.

Proactively anticipate sales and client business needs and have a good understanding of the client relationships through historical pricing and information.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment with the ability to prioritize high-alert items effectively.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Minimum 3-6 years of account management, business analysis or selling experience in internet advertising sales. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills; excellent analytical skills; results and detail oriented; accountable; strong work ethic; strong team player; solid negotiation skills; proactive self starter; creative/strategic thinker who is process oriented and has the ability to multi-task; outstanding computer skills including solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Power Point systems. Some technical knowledge preferred.

Must have strong understanding of digital marketplace and understanding of the competitive landscape in which we operate.

Able to work effectively and excel in a matrix organization and possess the ability to adapt to a changing environment quickly and easily.
