The Producer (Feature sections, Homepage) will be responsible for sourcing, maintaining and updating content (text, images and AV) for the daily production of BBC.com, in conjunction with and supervised by the editors. Producing stories, slideshows and video. Editing/writing headlines, synopses/descriptions and additional editorial content as required - such as social networks. Sub-editing and preparing journalism for publication on the web. Assisting with specific project/product-related tasks and developments, working where necessary with internal users within the BBC.

REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA in journalism or unrelated degree but equivalent working experience. At least 3 years producing content for the web within a media/agency company or experience as a journalist, producer, editor or similar. Background in news/journalism a plus. Sound editorial judgement with a clear, fluent writing style and an ability to produce strong headlines, news summaries and promotional texts. Strong visual sense, experience in picture research and high level image editing skills using Adobe Photoshop. Demonstrated knowledge of digital trends in media and entertainment, emerging technologies and consumer touch-points like social media. Strong attention to detail and an ability to work within established deadlines. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and deliver recommendations based on data and analysis. Computer literate with MS Office applications. Ability to work in a matrix environment. Highly proactive, curious, and enthusiastic about the digital media space and the news/business/technology/entertainment categories.
