Leader in digital educational reference materials seeks smart, web-savvy individual to work on online educational materials, online databases, and eBooks, in subjects such as history, literature, science, health. The ideal candidate will be well informed on trends in the online world and educational market.

Manage and track a wide range of activities; coordinate file conversion using outside vendors; work with others to transition data and content to new CMS, to improve and update current interfaces, and to build new products.

Responsibilities include performing QC on converted files; batch processing image files; preparing data and content for ingest into content management systems; updating data tables; adding meta-data; copyediting and proofreading; researching historical images and primary sources for database inclusion; supervising freelancers; working with other project managers to maintain consistent procedures; testing and trouble-shooting; handling some department administrative tasks.

Must have bachelor's degree or higher; knowledge of basic HTML, Adobe Acrobat, and Photoshop; minimum 1-3 years online experience. Must be detail oriented, able to multitask, function well under pressure, and have strong communications skills. Academic background in education, history, or science a plus. Experience with a CMS, XML, FileMaker Pro, Access, and/or other database a plus. Please include salary requirements when responding.
