Viacom Creative Services – Viacom’s internal advertising and branding studio – is looking for someone who is ready and willing to put in the time and dedication it takes to work as an executive assistant while gaining exposure and contributing to the inner workings of a top-tier in-house advertising studio.

This full-time freelance position primarily serves as assistant to SVP, Brand Strategy & Digital and VP, Editorial (calendars, phones, drafting correspondence, etc.). Also supports the entire editorial and brand strategy departments with research, fact-checking and some smaller writing and proofreading projects. This position is exposed to all facets of the Creative Services department, which creates integrated advertising, marketing and branding solutions across all media and platforms. As assistant duties are mastered, there will be the opportunity to take on smaller writing assignments.

Creative writing, marketing/advertising writing, nonfiction or journalism background required. Administrative/office experience ideal. Also required: writing, editing and proofreading skills: excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills: attention to detail: the ability to work under strict deadlines and juggle several tasks at once. Bachelor of Arts required (English, Marketing/Advertising or Journalism preferred).

This job is for a duration of nine months, with the possibility of renewal.
