The Ad Council is a private, non-profit organization that marshals volunteer talent from the advertising and communications industries, the facilities of the media, and the resources of the business and non-profit communities to deliver critical messages to the American public. The Ad Council produces, distributes and promotes thousands of public service campaigns on behalf of non-profit organizations and government agencies in issue areas such as improving the quality of life for children, preventive health, education, community well being, environmental preservation and strengthening families.

All Ad Council campaign messages run in donated media rather than purchased media; that is, media companies and outlets select campaigns to support at their discretion. The Media Measurement & Analysis team is primarily responsible for:
  • Tracking, managing and evaluating all donated media data; i.e., where and when Ad Council campaign messages are running in TV, radio, online, newspaper, magazine, outdoor, social media, alternative and other media platforms
  • Reporting campaign results to sponsors, constituents and the public
  • Conducting cross-campaign analyses to inform best practices
The Media Data Coordinator will help manage data and measurement processes for key media types. They will also provide support to the Media Measurement & Analysis Department. Candidates should possess superior MS Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on multiple projects at once.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Perform weekly data downloads from media monitoring vendor sites
  • Manage data within an internal database, including upload and valuation
  • Integrate data received from additional sources, including data received directly from media companies
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, with 1-2 years relevant work/internship experience in data entry and data management
  • Excellent MS Excel skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently
