We are currently seeking a Marketing Manager for the Northstar Meetings Group (NMG). This position is located in our Secaucus, NJ office. The Marketing Manager strategizes, creates, and executes advertiser and audience marketing and promotional activity for NMG, which includes three trade publications along with websites and databases. He/she will create and execute custom advertising/merchandising programs including print, digital, e-marketing, websites, collateral, research and tradeshow promotion and will manage the Marketing department budget.

Additional responsibilities include:
•Manage all aspects of over 20 regional, national, and international tradeshows and events, including planning, marketing, and onsite activities.
•Oversee contractors for design and production of collateral; manage vendor relationships with companies who supply marketing materials and merchandise to the group.
•Work with domestic and international sales team to assist in advertising sales of all portfolio publications, products, sections and electronic media opportunities.
•Work with industry associations to secure partnerships to promote NMG to show attendees. Create and execute barter opportunities to minimize out-of-pocket cost for the publications. Market and support advertiser/industry partner events. Negotiate co-sponsorships for clients at tradeshows to increase exposure.
•Work with research vendors on projects such as advertisement/editorial recall research and market these research projects as needed.
•Maintain online event registration site for all magazine and advertiser events. Maintain marketing section of magazine websites and manage house ad rotation.
•Handle administrative duties and daily tasks of marketing department.

Related work Experience:
3–5 years marketing and promotional experience with emphasis on creation and execution of promotional materials and public relations. Strong experience and successful track record in digital marketing execution. Prior trade show/event support experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
4-year college degree in marketing or related field of study. Strong digital marketing skills, proficiency in MS Office, database management and knowledge of e-mail and digital strategies including ability to manage website update through CMS. Experience leveraging social media for marketing objectives. Strong communication, writing, and editing skills. Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Basic knowledge of graphic design, file formats and working with outside printing companies. Strong interpersonal skills to maintain productive relationships with employees, advertisers, readers and vendors. Strong innovation and creative skills.
