Function Description:
Brand management will strive to increase Bloomberg’s perceived value to our target audiences across Bloomberg’s portfolio of businesses, and thereby increase overall brand equity. This function will: establish and evangelize a corporate brand foundation; leverage research and brand measurement tools to understand brand positioning, awareness, equity, preference and engagement for internal and external target audiences; support the roll-out and consistent implementation of the Bloomberg brand and any sub-brands to new geographies as the company expands globally; work with the Internal Agency in a Brand Planner capacity to develop strong briefs and ensure strategic creative work; work with the IMC leader on brand-level marketing campaigns and/or sponsorships to drive brand positioning; and develop and manage the product/service branding and naming architecture and process.

Role:
- Lead in creation and updating of positioning/value propositions and messaging for each business within responsibility
- Build product architecture, naming strategy and implement design approach for each business within responsibility
- Serve as a strategic planner in leading the transition from strategy to creative execution; play a key role in creation of creative brief – working with appropriate IMC program manager.
- Leverage Consumer and Market Intelligence team to assist in creating research-driven strategic approaches for each business within responsibility
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including other Central Marketing functions, Corporate Communications and Internal Agency to enable internal and external brand engagement.
- Focus on Media (Television, Radio, Bloomberg.com, Mobile, Businessweek and Businessweek.com), new consumer business in the personal investment category, other projects as needed

Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Relationship building ability is a critical success factor for this role.
- Must be able to navigate and manage through a highly matrixed organization.
- This is a temporary position from approximately November 12 – March 15, 2013
