CQ Roll Call is seeking aWeb Designerto join its digital design team. The team designs and develops new products and features to existing products across a variety of platforms.TheWeb Designer will be responsible fordeveloping functional web interfaces, using HTML, CSS, jQuery and other technologies, as needed.This position will use CSS3 to implement responsive designs that work across multiple devices and platforms and will create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate ideas. The Web Designer must be able to maintain legacy sites and email newsletters, sometimes with non-standard markup.
Essential skills include expert knowledge of HTML, CSS and jQuery; good eye for detail, especially Typography; experience working with CSS grid systems and frameworks; ability to write standards-compliant code, that is both accessible and degrades gracefully; and, self-motivated with excellent communication and problem solving skills.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of a CSS preprocessor, like SASS or LESS; experience with HTML5; familiarity with version control software and bug-tracking tools; experience with jQuery Mobile; and, experience with Word press.BS/BA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Design or related degree preferred with 3+ years experience inUIdesign and working closely with user research, product managers, and developers.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross functional team members including key business, editorial, strategy, technology and other stakeholders to plan, research and execute product solutions that deliver on CO-Roll Call Group's business objectives and support CQ RollCall's brand, marketing, Editorial mission,ITperformance standards, and revenue strategies.
