Public Relations Coordinator
Position SummaryThe role of the Public Relations Coordinator is to assist in handling the daily operational needs as directed by the VP, Corporate Communications. Responsibilities include: organizing, planning, implementing and tracking the promotional efforts that promote Tribeca Enterprises and its entities.Core responsibilities:•Provide administrative support to the VP Communications, including, but not limited to; scheduling meetings, answering phones, responding to e-mails, processing expense reports, purchase orders and invoices and assisting with inquiries and continually managing any updates to the press website. •Create and distribute press materials, including; pitch letters, press releases, tip sheets and event invitations.•Assist in organizing and covering press events and screenings Maintain press reports and update weekly status reports for executives and filmmakers and prepare media reports at conclusion of campaigns.•Track daily press clips and communicate the information to the appropriate contacts for all business areas.•Identify key media outlets and contacts for press coverage•Pitch local and regional media across all platforms for initiatives and film releases •Assist in the planning, execution and coverage of film premieres, press junkets, special events and talent appearances.•Manage and schedule red carpet setup, press check-in, pre-show logistics•Research new ways to publicize upcoming films and initiatives across business areas. • Participate in brainstorming meetings to create unique publicity plans for upcoming films and business initiatives.• Serve as the contact person for the PR interns year round and for the Tribeca Film Festival.Tribeca Film Initiatives. Work closely with the Director, Publicity to:oCoordinate press screenings for all Tribeca Film releases oCompile and distribute internal memos such as opening day reviews, press breaks, publicity status reports oAid in covering phone interviews with talent/directors oPrep schedules for press days and interviews oRun regional campaigns and pitch features and reviews in all secondary markets including liaising with all theater PR contacts oMain press contact for regional festivals for proactive press outreach oConduct grass roots PR campaign outreach Qualifications/ ExperienceBachelor’s degree required.
