Use Your Digital Skills to Tell the Stories That Need Telling
The Urban Land Institute (ULI) is looking for a versatile digital communicator to join our growing online team. In the past two years we’ve launched an online magazine, replaced our search engine, redesigned our primary web site and launched our first large-scale mobile app.
ULI creates compelling content every day in cities across the U.S., Europe and Asia, as our members gather to share ideas and best practices for what makes cities thrive. We publish books and reports, bestow honors and awards, and convene expert panels with advice on how cities can tackle today’s challenges -- and tomorrow’s.
To help us deliver this content and support these conversations, we’re hiring an associate for Virtual ULI – our headquarters web team. You’ll be helping us manage a family of web sites, along with related content on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social channels. You’ll help us make smart use of analytics and search engine results. ULI’s ever-growing use of technology means we often get to tackle new challenges, try out new cloud-based tools, and define new approaches to deliver results.
This could be the job for you if:
•You can’t resist installing the free demo of a new web tool or service.
•After viewing a web site for three seconds, you already have three ideas to make it better.
This might NOT be the job for you if:
•You think a problem doesn’t exist if it’s not happening on your browser.
•You’re lukewarm about QC and maintenance for something you’ve built.
•You lose patience if people don’t pick up a new skill the first time you’ve shown them how.
Be sure to highlight your experience publishing web content, administering sites, and supporting others who publish content.
