Comedy Central is seeking a Director of Fan Engagement. Dually reporting to SVP, Brand Creative and VP, Digital Marketing & Fan Engagement, the successful candidate will lead the creative, and manage the team responsible for day-to-day conversations with CC fans on every platform.

S/he will lead the Comedy Central voice in social media, and find innovative ways to extend this voice onto the TV network and further in the digital space.This role is directly responsible for helping bridge CC’s brand creative and social media groups.

Essential to the duties will be a candidate's ability to identify entertainment and consumer trends as well as an ability to think originally about the entertainment industry in conjunction with the CC brand.

The role requires a person who is passionate about social media, television, production and the details that go into taking a concept from ideation to implementation and finally to “broadcast” across all screens.

Specific responsibilities include:

Extend the social media conversation onto the TV screen via creative and innovative on-air promotions.
Lead a team on the day to day executions of the voice of Comedy Central on appropriate social media platforms.
Work with the Creative VP’s and their teams on key brand launches, lead creative brainstorming sessions with Editorial Director, Art Director and producers.
Responsible for understanding consumer trends, industry news and developments relevant to specific Comedy brand categories.
Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with the current and emerging platforms so that Comedy Central remains on the forefront of innovation and knowledge.
Work closely with Senior Creative, Operations and Marketing teams to ensure consistent delivery against each department¹s strategies and schedules.
Help supervise and review production work to ensure all goals are met and creative quality is upheld to a high standard of the CC brand creative.
Responsible for working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse group of individuals.
Candidate should be able to Identify and partner with new platforms to advance the CC brand.
Manage team of three.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of five years of relevant entertainment/digital marketing or production experience within an advertising agency, production company, promotional agency, network or digital company
Great sense of humor! (Literally and figuratively)
Strong Comic point of view and interest/expertise in current comedy trends and content.
Deep personal experience with, and passion for, current and emerging social media platforms
Excellent creative abilities, production sense and aesthetic judgment for comedic sensibilities
Ability to think conceptually and to translate those concepts into actionable plans to drive creative strategies forward
Experience in managing relationships/partnerships with platforms such as Facebook, Twitter etc.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Superb presentation abilities
Exposure to production and general knowledge of the TV/digital production industry
Awareness of entertainment and consumer trends and insights
Superior organization skills, ability to lead cross-functional teams and oversee execution of numerous projects at one time
Exposure to working with creative teams and senior management
