Work Experience: 3-5 years work 2+ years event management experienceEducation: Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management, Business or Communications preferredReports To: VP of Marketing & EventsTravel: Up to 60%About the Job:We are currently seeking an Events Coordinator with an ideal background in portable retail/vending event experience to join the VideoPlus Marketing team. This individual will be responsible for all the logistics of selling product in our client event stores. The ideal candidate should have strong event management background either in meeting planning, hotel event/exhibit management or portable retail stores. The Event Coordinator will report directly to the Marketing Manager at VideoPlus. Primary Role/Function: The role will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Sales & Account Executives to develop and execute a strategic plan for all B to C customer stores. The main purpose of the strategic plan is to drive revenue and continually increase customer purchases. This person will also work very closely with our operations department to ensure product is ordered in time for each show. This individual must be detail-oriented and very organized and be able to handle up to 15 events per month. This position will be the expert on event planning and work in conjunction with the Promotions and Product Coordinator to ensure the stores are laid out correctly and the proper items are being promoted. Essential Responsibilities: Working with sales & customer service to plan and run eventsManage the development, maintenance and use of a point of sale system and train any staff who attends eventsManaging events on-siteManage all aspects of event logistics including hotels, flights, rental cars, staff, products, freight, etc. Create management reports, event proformas & estimated expenditures for each event to show profit or lossWorking with, training and leading temporary workers and current VideoPlus staff Requirements: 2+ years working in event management Ability to manage projects from conception through analysis stages; ability to control costs, budgets and profitability Project management skillsMicrosoft Office ExperienceExperience with managing a small staff A passion for retail sales a plusCMP certification a plus *Salary requirements a must.
