Imagination Publishing is a custom publishing and content marketing agency. We help our clients build relationships and increase engagement with their customers. We have an immediate need for a Print Project Manager with experience in circulars and/or print catalogs

The Print Project Manager is responsible for managing projects from initial proposal through delivery, ensuring projects are on time, within budget and are in line with Imagination’s quality expectations. In this role, the ideal candidate will manage and facilitate a smooth production process while ensuring 100% client satisfaction. The Print Project Manager will work closely with our prepress house, printers and advertisers, as well as members of our editorial and design staff to meet their publishing needs. S/he will also be responsible for managing specific interactive projects; encompassing creating and maintaining project documentation including project plans, schedules, task lists, status reports, etc. to ensure the final deliverables are accurate and exceed the expectations of key stakeholders, both internal and external.

This position requires clear and effective communication with all of the stakeholders and internal and external clients including the interactive team, client & content teams, and Senior Management concerning steps required to achieve project objectives and business goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills, be comfortable multi-tasking and hold the ultimate responsibility for managing and updating all print production schedules.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

-Define and document project technical requirements, including content management systems, features and functionality, hosting and maintenance
-Create and update production schedules for print publications
-Traffic advertising materials; coordinate with outside sales reps
-Manage mailing & distribution lists
-Create paginations and work closely with internal teams to incorporate ads
-Ensure a smooth process between the creative team and the final product
-Assist in gathering pricing and other quote information from printers for new projects
-Manage organization of publication room and all print production materials
-Define, create, maintain and manage project documentation and deliverables such as cost estimates, project plans, proposals, statements of work, status reports (internal and external) and issue tracking
-For assigned projects, facilitate project and team meetings; track milestones and deliverables.
-Collaborate with project team members to identify strategies and solutions that will best meet organization and user needs within established constraints
-Continuously interact with the interactive team, content and resource team members to ensure the correct product deliverables are created to exceed the needs of all users.
-Ensure all project documentation is produced and maintained in the standard format, follows internal documentation processes, and is reviewed and approved prior to deliver


-BA/BS degree or relevant work experience.
-3+ years of relevant experience in managing circular and/or catalog projects, with a proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality projects in a dynamic environment
-Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize own work as well as the team’s work
-Experience in planning and managing technologies and technical solutions across multiple simultaneous projects
-Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical contributors, and to appropriately tailor messages to different audiences
-Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a proven ability to foster teamwork, generate consensus, build productive relationships, coordinate change management and motivate team members in a fast-paced environment
-Thorough understanding of the project life cycle process and methods to effectively manage through the complexities of the business solution
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to shift easily between various planning granularities, from extremely detailed task lists to high-level long-term strategy
-Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
-Knowledge of ink, paper, prepress and other print production matters ideal but not required
