As a CSA Manager, you will be a member of the Client services team, working with our clients and Engagement Leaders to identify and define the analytical needs and outcomes required to support our clients. You will gather and prepare large transaction datasets for analysis, and you will serve as the data expert, providing meaningful information, which will drive management decisions for Nielsen products and it’s clients. 


Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborating with clients and internal stake holders to understand requirements, define scope, design and develop new insights and enhance existing ones
• Customize and run reports using Access and Excel for use by the Clients and Internal teams to increase data insights
• Create presentations that include graphs, charts, and insightful analysis on various metrics
• Audit data in source systems and ensure that the data is accurate?• Write appropriate process documentation
• Identify/implement new metrics based on the frequently evolving business needs
• Leveraging technology products such as Excel, VB and Macros, Access, etc. to build new products and upgrade existing ones
• Developing and maintaining databases to support data reporting application and identify opportunities for actionable insights and make recommendations
• Understanding business and member needs and helping senior team members with brainstorming new product ideas
• Must take full ownership over work and tasks and deliver them to manager in a “client ready” state


Required Skills:
• Creation and modification of database stored procedures, functions, views and triggers
• Understanding of database design and development concepts
• Strong understanding of data driven business decisions
• Detail oriented with emphasis on quality of work
• Solid organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Communicating status and technical considerations for production support issues, project work and non-project work to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work at a fast pace providing support for project work as well as ad-hoc requests and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Core understanding of database and query tuning
• Data modeling and design abilities with a focus on a data warehouse principles
• Experience with Analysis Services (SSAS), Power View, Power Pivot and Master Data Services
• Familiarity with writing/editing macros and use of Microsoft Access preferred


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 2 years related experience with applied data analysis on large transaction datasets within the SQL Server platform
• Only candidates who have advanced Microsoft Excel skills will be considered
• Must be efficient when manipulating large data sets, able to summarize using pivot tables, and utilize advanced formulas
• Familiarity with writing/editing macros and use of Microsoft Access preferred
• Willing to develop expertise in several software applications: Advanced Excel, SPSS (statistical software) etc. Computer programming knowledge/experience is a plus.
