· Lead all aspects of the day-to-day QA workflow
· Maintain a high performing team by hiring, managing, mentoring, and developing QA Engineers
· Develop and maintain test automation scripts; increase automation coverage
· Participate in design and specification reviews and develop accompanying test plans
· Increase productivity through automation, tools, and best practices
· Work directly with Kindle product software teams to deliver high quality software features and updates
· Work with Kindle product leadership to establish quality standards and processes

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
· Three or more years of industry experience, including hands-on Operations management or QA management experience
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with Development Engineering and US-based SQA/Operations counterparts
· Strong people management skills, with a track record of hiring and growing talented QA Engineers
· Experience leading test efforts for consumer-facing internet applications
· Scripting experience and active knowledge of Shell, Perl, or equivalent
· Ability to operate independently through organization and high judgment
· Experience and understanding of software development, including waterfall and agile methodologies
· Customer focus and a passion for building great products

· Experience with and passion for digital products
· Experience in software QA for websites, services, and desktop software
· Experience working with embedded device client
· Experience with document formats - DOC, PDF, PPT, XLS, etc
