The Marketing Specialist is responsible for a mix of marketing and sales support. Working extensively with print and online marketing campaigns, including copywriting, email blasts, social media, search engine marketing, public relations, content marketing and other types of campaigns, the Marketing Specialist will build brand awareness and help the company gain new business in the institutional and consumer markets. This person will research and refine the target market, ensuring that we reach out to the right audience at the right time with the right message. The ideal candidate is a results-driven, resourceful, web savvy self-starter who is comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.??

The Marketing Specialist must think strategically with a strong customer focus and execute nimbly while maintaining a high level of quality. The enthusiastic candidate must possess continued awareness of the competitive landscape and industry trends, a passion for marketing and the social web, and a background in creating innovative print and digital marketing campaigns.

•Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, digital media, communications, or related field with 1-3 years hands-on online and email marketing experience with proven success.
•Must be a creative, self-starter who is detail-oriented and sets high standards for quality with a core understanding of technology and an interest in marketing.
•Must have demonstrated strong written and oral communications skills with a predisposition to proactive communications.
•Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and track sales enablement marketing programs.
•Proven experience writing content for business (education audiences a plus).
•General curiosity about education marketing with a strong work ethic and interest in doing things the right way.
•Ability to get things done with minimal resources and handholding along with the ability to solve practical problems.
•Strong marketing messaging, proposal, and presentation writing skills.
•Ability to effectively work collaboratively with internal team to leverage each other’s abilities and ideas and best serve internal clients and the market.
•Must have ability to work within a team, build relationships and work effectively at all levels of an organization including business development and consulting staff.
•Develops opportunities to add additional value to other department initiatives including product development support, direct marketing, tradeshow development, etc.
• Must possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with a CRM is a significant plus.
