Workforce Analytics Finance Intern

Time Frame: November 2012 – May 2013

Location: Dulles, VA

Hours: Part-time 20 hours/week



Description

AOL is looking for an intern who is passionate about telling stories with data. We’re looking for students who wake up excited about the financial behind the scenes work of forecasting, planning and budgeting.  During the course of your internship, you will leverage SQL, Access, Excel and other tools to provide insight reports on workforce management and vendor optimization for our Paid Services team.  This is a great opportunity to learn the business side of a tech guru company.  So if you’re looking to flex your analytical muscles and strengthen your core with some number crunching, keep reading…



In this internship, you will

•    Work with Workforce Management team on Contact Center finances, reporting  and program logistics

•    Design reports using SQL, Access and Excel

•    Review and process monthly contact center invoices

•    Provide management with statistical information, reporting and analysis regarding Paid Services finances

•    Administer workforce management software for profile updates for vendor sites

•    Create and maintain reports from workforce management software

•    Ability to handle multiple and changing requests



Requirements for Success



•    You’re a currently enrolled college junior or senior

•    You’re able to work 10-20 hours per week in our Dulles, VA office

•    You enjoy building spreadsheets and reports to capture, crunch and analyze data. And if not, it at least sounds fun to you.

•    You know your way around Excel and Access and  can utilize them for data collection, management and generating statistic reports

•    You’re BFF’s with SQL and can use it to design reports that will delight, surprise and inform our team

•    Your personal qualities include: solid work ethic, dependability, initiative, strong integrity, accountability, excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task with aggressive timeframes and remain flexible and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment.

•    You can effectively present and communicate verbally and in black and white.
