You’re a top-notch freelance editor who’s committed to working independently. And that’s why steady gigs like this one with McMurry are so enticing. We’re looking for the best of the best to join our list of contributing editors. In this capacity, you’ll get a contract with guaranteed work and income. In exchange, you’ll help our editorial staff develop story ideas for key content marketing programs, assign and edit stories, and see projects through to the end of the publishing cycle. You’ll put your strong communications skills to work, helping manage projects, including communicating with McMurry team members and clients. You can work remotely, so living in Arizona is not a requirement.

· Work on a select group of products.
· Provide editorial management, gathering materials from clients where needed, assigning content and working directly with contributors to ensure top-quality stories, and seeing projects through to completion.

· Minimum of 10 years of editorial experience, preferably at least a couple in custom publishing.
· Experience in both consumer and B2B content development in healthcare, financial services, insurance and technology.
· Excellent communications skills.
· Highly organized, with solid project management skills.
· Network of freelance writers who love working with you.
· Ability to manage and meet budget requirements.
· An ability to work independently, yet skilled at collaborating and functioning as part of small and large teams.
· Ability to write and edit content in the latest editions of MS Office, InDesign and Photoshop.
· Ability to access, download and upload large files via the Internet.
