CQ Roll Call is seeking a National Sales Director to drive revenue and develop new business in the Southeast regional of the country. This position is responsible for meeting individual advertising goals, maintaining and growing existing accounts, and actively prospecting for and developing new business for all CQ Roll Call print, online, and event offerings. This position will have primary accountability for meeting advertising goals through the development of relationships with new advertisers and deepening CQ Roll Call's relationships with existing accounts.The ideal candidate must understand clients' needs and be able to set clear objectives by staying informed on market trends and competitive strategy as well as legislative activity that impacts key industry players. This role requires handling client RFPs with assistance from SVP of Advertising and other Directors. The National Sales Director must be able to train and guide sales assistants so they can effectively assist with account management. Negotiating contracts, handling details and processing information accurately is a must.Qualifications for this role include: Bachelors degree in relevant field of study or equivalent experience; minimum 5 years advertising sales experience; excellent oral and written communication skills; proven track record; ability to meet and exceed sales goals; ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment; ability to apply marketing solutions to meet advertiser objectives; and computer skills should include word, excel, PowerPoint and other basic programs.
