Forbes Media is seeking an Sales Planner to work closely with our San Francisco based sales team on driving advertising revenue for Forbes Magazine, Forbes.com as well as our Mobile and Tablet products.

The core function of the Sales Planner is to service the sales effort through effective response to Forbes Media “client” requests and through excellent management of advertising campaigns. The right candidate will be organized, self motivated, detailed-oriented with solid communication skills, and have the ability to work on multiple ongoing projects.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Provide pre-sales support by working with internal teams to forecast available inventory and sponsorship availability.
• Work with Forbes’ sales team to execute, complete and fulfill proposals. Review and build media plans and ensure accuracy of placement details. Also, accurately complete advertising spec templates and answer questions about Forbes’s ad specs in print and online.
• Understand the fundamentals of pricing to ensure consistency across all channels and media platforms
• Build processes to ensure clear documentation and communications to internal and external teams so manage performance and timing expectations.
• Develop strong understanding of Forbes’ ad products and sponsorship opportunities
• Administrative elements include creating excel sheets for management lists, completing expense reports, shared calendars, event planning and occasional travel planning.

Performance Metrics:
• Work on strategic proposals within the deadline set by the sales team and potential advertisers
• Manage communications with research, ,marketing, ad operations and data & analytics teams
• Send weekly/monthly reports to billing departments and sales teams

Skills and Experience:
• College degree required
• 1+ years experience in relevant position in Advertising
• Knowledge of the interactive marketplace and print advertising marketplace a plus
• Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task – must be able to juggle multiple projects and clients
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work within time constraints
• Excellent team player with strong attention to detail and good time management skills
• Strong experience with DART, Excel. and PowerPoint, experience with Sales Force a plus
• Excellent communication skills
