Philadelphia magazine has an opening for an entry-level reporter for our daily news and opinion site, A must-read for 200,000+ Philadelphians every month, the site keeps readers informed about headline news and provides them with smart analysis and bold opinion about what's happening in our region and beyond.

For three days a week, this reporter will manage the Philly Post’s daily news aggregation, scanning the Internet to bring our readers the news Philadelphians need to know. A good news sense is a must—so you can spot the headlines that matter and identify what makes those stories compelling to Philadelphians. You’ll hate this job if you aren’t an insatiable consumer of media. You’ll excel if you can navigate a balance between hard news and entertainment, and like putting all of it into context for our audience. You must be able to write headlines that are both informative and make people click.

For the rest of the week, you’ll pitch stories and do original reporting, helping to build a Philly Post reputation for breaking news. You must be dedicated to developing sources in the city and burbs, driven by the thrill of nailing the story first, comfortable with filing stories in a fast-paced work environment, adept at finding fresh angles, and obsessed with social media. You also have to be a self-starter and a fast, but accurate writer with integrity.

Please include a dazzling cover letter with your resume.
