To support our belief that “children are the world’s most important people®,” Highlights is actively growing its global presence. The Highlights International Team works with local partners to bring Highlights products to children around the world through licensing and distribution relationships.

As the International Team expands, we need a Team Coordinator to provide assistance and support in achieving business unit goals. This person is responsible for global project management, including scheduling and trafficking all International projects and communicating project status consistently and accurately. The ideal candidate would possess outstanding organizational and communication skills.

Essential Functions:

•Coordinate sales, marketing, and editorial activities of the International Team from the prospecting stage through the receipt of the final product, reaching out to other departments (creative services, brand, legal) as needed
•Assist with editorial review and other editorial activities as directed
•Develop and implement scheduling/trafficking tool to manage cross-group activities and resources, etc.; coordinate and maintain multiple schedules for projects
•Communicate with external partners to plan and schedule project timelines and track project deliverables; monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders
•Maintain calendar, monitor, and initiate appropriate actions relative to project milestones including upholding contractual obligations

Additional Functions:

•Provide ongoing administrative support to team including correspondence, files, shipping, and travel coordination and arrangements
•Support meeting activities including scheduling of meeting space, performing hosting activities, preparation and distribution of agendas and applicable files, meeting note taking, and coordination of follow-up action steps

•Strong problem solving and project coordination capabilities
•Effective planning/organizing and prioritization skills
•Highly developed oral and written communication skills
•Strong proofreading skills, including attention to detail
•Proven provider of high-quality, accurate, and timely work deliverables
•Creative/innovative ability to create positive solutions
•Able to adapt to changing priorities or situations
•Proficiency in all key MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

•BS or BA, preferably with a major in business, English, communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•1+ years of experience as a coordinator, department assistant, project management, or similar role within publishing house.
•Experience proofreading a plus.
•Experience in copyediting a plus.
•Ability to relocate to northeastern Pennsylvania
