The Role
The cross-platform initiative team at Bloomberg is responsible for working across the boundaries of business units and functions to drive collaboration and innovation, increase efficiency, increase economies of scale, and encourage a holistic view of the company’s media customers. We are a lean department that leverages a group of cross-functional teams to identify problems, come up with solutions and drive execution in areas as diverse as content development, media talent management, advertising sales and marketing and technical infrastructure.

We seek to add another member to our team who can help lead and support these projects and complement our existing skill set. This role will be responsible for:
-Leading and supporting cross-functional teams to solve issues affecting multiple platforms and businesses
-Performing analysis of issues and developing recommendations
-Benchmarking external best practices and models
-Managing projects and project logistics
-Communicating recommendations and efforts internally

Qualifications:
-5-7 years of progressively senior and relevant work experience such as: experience in an analytically-focused operations role at a major news, media or information services company; a background in product or project management at a technology or software startup; or management or strategy consulting experience, especially with a focus on organizational effectiveness, program management, post-merger integrations and business process redesign
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with an outstanding academic record. MBA or other advanced degree helpful
-Extraordinary interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
-Strong and natural connector and network builder who can quickly establish the internal credibility and connections necessary to effectively and quickly identify and implement the planned initiatives
-A deep understanding of and strong interest in media, news, information services or technology (and ideally, the intersection of all of them)
-Analytical experience, whether in consulting, banking, engineering or elsewhere
-An ability to juggle and manage multiple projects
-An interest in and understanding of complex organizational issues
