Ms. Human Resources
Full Time
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s health, has an opportunity for a detail oriented individual to coordinate the Division of Scholarly Journals and Professional Periodicals’ permissions and translation rights activities for print and electronic pediatric journals.

This is an excellent opportunity for a culturally sensitive professional to work with many international relationships. The individual will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities for the US and international copyrights program, monitor permission grantees to ensure compliance with AAP terms and conditions, process any special permission requests that cannot be automated, assist with developing financial reports, and manage contracts and royalty payments from foreign language editions.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience. At least two years’ experience in marketing, rights management, or editorial support of association, scholarly, or scientific/medical publications required. Experience with copyright laws and online publishing preferred.

The AAP offers an excellent work environment, competitive salary, and a very comprehensive benefits package. Additionally, we are an Equal Opportunity Employer (M/F/D/V) that values the strength diversity brings to our workplace. As a reaffirmation to our employee-focused culture, since 2005, the AAP has been named one of the 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work for in the Chicagoland area.
