Nielsen’s Media Analytics practice seeks to leverage Nielsen’s world class Media Research assets to provide best in class Custom Analytics to Advertisers, Digital Publishers, Media companies, and Agencies. Our Media Analytics team brings together industry thought leaders, expert consultants, and analysts to address the most important issues in TV and Digital Media today. We work closely with our clients to help them make strategic and tactical business decisions.
The Director, Media Analytics, will consult with clients to provide media targeting, cross-platform measurement solutions, and insights that address client business questions. Primary client base is advertisers; primary internal partners are Ad Solutions client service leads. For a specific engagement, the Director will identify relevant solutions to meet client’s needs, and work with the Ad Solutions team on proposals and business development. In addition, the Director will oversee the delivery of services to clients, and ensure they receive maximum value from deliverables.
Job Responsibilities Include:
• Drive awareness of customized media targeting solutions- fusion, database matches- among internal partners and target clients
• Work with Ad Solutions Client Service team to identify client needs for analytics.  Develop proposals and aid in closing sales.
• Collaborate effectively with Research Teams to develop insights and analysis for clients. Oversee client delivery.  
• Meet assigned revenue target.  Evangelize Media Analytics solutions with clients and internal stakeholders. 
• Architect custom research solutions utilizing Nielsen datasets, at times in conjunction with partner data providers.


• 6+ years in media or marketing research, for research provider, internet company, agency, other media company
• Strong familiarity with media planning process is highly preferred.
• Strong analytic aptitude with an eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
• Proven experience collaborating with a wide range of internal and external clients. 
• Detailed knowledge of traditional media and new media required, as well as advertising sales research, media planning or marketing strategy development.
• Ability to grasp new concepts easily, and be able to present them in a simplified manner to clients and potential prospects
• Prior experience working as a management consultant highly desirable
