Our Boston office is growing! We’re seeking a PR professional with 7+ years of experience to join our Digital Health team as a Vice President. This is an opportunity to manage a growing digital health practice, provide solid strategic counsel and creative ideas for healthcare clients, and contribute to the company’s new business efforts and external thought leadership initiatives.

We’re seeking a proven digital healthcare expert who will provide best-in-class strategy to clients and manage multiple account teams, as well as pursue new business opportunities and contribute to the overall growth of Weber Shandwick’s Digital Health practice.

Responsibilities:

•Provide senior counsel and creative planning support for digital and social media strategies to a variety of healthcare clients, including pharmaceutical and consumer health companies, hospitals and health systems, and non-profits.
•Drive new business pitch development and presentations. Understand industry issues that directly and indirectly affect the client, particularly the regulatory landscape and its implications to the healthcare industry’s use of social media.
•Manage teams and ensure delivery of programs on time, on budget, and with superior results.
•Generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure continual client program success.
•Develop of digital and social media strategies that align with client communications goals across their portfolio of online channels.
•Make strategic insights and recommendations on the changing landscape of digital and social media and how it applies to our healthcare clients.
•Provide company-wide insight on emerging trends and online developments as they affect healthcare companies using digital channels.
•Pursue industry thought leadership opportunities to elevate the visibility of the practice.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree and 7+ years related professional experience
•Expert command of the social media and digital world, including an understanding of the current regulatory environment for healthcare companies
•Ability to successfully develop and present program recommendations, and establish relationships with senior clients as a trusted advisor and partner
•Sophisticated client service and communications skills (including AP style writing); high energy and passion for this area of rapid change and innovation
