We have an immediate opening for a Senior Editorial Assistant in the Department of Publications.This is an on-site full time position located in Cambridge MAResponsibilities include:•editing Academy publications, including Daedalus, the Bulletin, books, and research papers and monographs•editing grant proposals, reports, and correspondence•editing copy for the Academy website•page layout of Daedalus Minimum Qualifications:•Bachelor’s Degree •2 to 3 years of full-time experience in an editorial role•Demonstrated ability to copyedit scholarly and journalistic prose•Experience and competence with Microsoft Office•Excellent written communication skills•Experience with Quark•Experience working in a membership-based, constituent-focused organization and/or in higher education a plus•Strong attention to detail as well as the ability to manage one’s time and prioritize numerous projects.Please send a letter of application, resume, and writing samples to: firstname.lastname@example.orgThe American Academy of Arts and Sciences is an equal opportunity employer.Job Code: SEA-MBNo phone calls or staffing agencies.
