What would I do?As the content manager for our digital product team, you’ll be part of the digital operations and development organization and a member of the team responsible for driving and executing content migrations to Scripps’ new web content management system. The content manager at Scripps works closely with internal teams to execute on digital platform strategy and create and maintain relationships with other internal teams. Our focus is growing Scripps’ digital business by providing the tools and applications our digital content teams need to produce content and publish to the web, smartphone and other relevant devices and distribution channels. In this role, you’ll be focused on defining and executing content migration plans for each property scheduled to be migrated to digital’s web content management system (WCM). You’ll be responsible for the adoption of the web content management system by digital’s editorial teams by training, answering questions, reporting and escalating issues. The dry but optimized-for-SEO list of Responsibilities, Skills and Experience:· Define, plan and lead the manual content migrations for each site to be migrated to newly-adopted WCM. · Identify and assemble resource needs required to execute on a content migration.· Responsible for the adoption of new WCM for editorial staffs. Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:o Train site, editorial staff in preparation for launch to new WCMo Train new hires on WCM.o Establish and maintain relationships with editorial stakeholders of WCM.· Introduce new training documentation to support new templates and functions in the WCM · Assist product team with review of new functionality in WCM· Escalate, track and facilitate the resolution of issues§ Able to work and think critically and creatively, at both the big-picture and little-detail levels.§ Demonstrated experience using web content management systems.§ Able to learn new tools and applications with little to no training, by ‘jumping right in’. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements§ 2-3 years of digital media experience, including experience with web content management system(s), preferably with a consumer-facing, media company.§ Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or at least in something interesting.
