Sactown magazine is looking for a talented and versatile senior editor who can assign, write and edit both short and feature-length stories. The magazine covers topics including food, arts, politics, architecture and design, philanthropy, business, travel, homes and more.

The ideal candidate must have:
– A minimum of 5 years of editing and/or writing experience at a consumer magazine or newspaper (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS POSITION WITHOUT THIS MINIMUM LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE; COLLEGE PUBLICATIONS DO NOT COUNT TOWARD THIS TOTAL)
– Experience writing service journalism, narrative features and personality profiles on a broad range of topics
– The ability to generate smart, surprising story ideas
– The candidate must also be detail-oriented and able to multitask, and line-edit as well as do basic copy-editing.
