The Multimedia Producer is responsible for the production and management of USO photography and video assets.Responsibilities/DutiesManage and maintain the USO photography and video library of digital and hard-copy photographs and digital and film videos, ensuring content is current and up-to-date. Define and apply distribution protocols, naming and meta tagging conventions. Provide assistance to library users.Establish and maintain policies and procedures, including reference and training documents, related to the production, storage, use and distribution of USO photography and video assets. Update, manage and collect releases and rights-for-use documentation from internal and external stakeholders.Procure and/or produce photography and video for multi-channel use. Coordinate with internal and external resources including USO Center leadership, external vendors, and contractors to acquire staged and candid photography and videos.Participate in preproduction, production and postproduction process. Assist with budgeting, setting deadlines, coordinating production calendars, contracting photographers and videographers. Coordinate the editing/finalization of multimedia content.Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Communications, Visual Arts or a related field.5 years work experience, preferably in a creative multimedia or production role. Relevant experience in a military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.Knowledge of digital media content file formats, standards and best practices.Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with USO staff at a variety of levels and technical abilities. Technical proficiency with a variety of software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite, and Extensis Portfolio. MAC editing software skills preferred.Demonstrated initiative/self-motivation, attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.Must be a strong advocate of the USO’s mission to lift the spirits of America’s troops and their families.This position is located in Arlington, VA.
