Hearst Magazines seeks an Assistant within the Creative Communications Group, the company’s full service, in-house creative department responsible for company branding and developing breakthrough print solutions for its biggest advertisers. The Assistant will be responsible for supporting the VP of Creative Communications, as well as the Creative Department. The position requires managing schedules, travel, expenses and correspondence for VP, as well as assisting the Department with all administrative functions. The position is administrative as well as creative, and provides opportunities to interface and handle projects with many other departments, including Marketing, Advertising, Events, and Corporate Communications.The ideal candidate is:creative, energetic, organized and an agile multi-tasker.creative inclinations i.e-can write copy, proofreading, and/or Graphic Design knowledge.superior computer skills in programs such as the Microsoft Suite.Relevant field of study at school – i.e. media, communications, publishing etc.Qualified candidates will have 1+ year internship experience in this field or a related field.
