Candidate Qualifications:
•At least 2 years of experience and a solid track record as a public media journalist, national and/or large-market experience preferred.
•Political reporting experience and familiarity with Georgia is preferred.
•Proficiency using digital camera and audio recording hardware
•Proficiency in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Audition
•Experienced visual, audio and digital storyteller with exceptional on-air experience.
•Excellent time-management skills and adherence to deadlines.
•Energetic and curious self starter.
•Excellent organizational skills including maintaining an updated network of contacts/sources
•Superior technical skills.
•Understanding of public media journalism and ability to incorporate it into news storytelling.
•Requires some travel, mostly within the state of Georgia
•Ability to work as a team member with other staffers to determine the content of a news story from inception to broadcast/publication
•A reliable vehicle and a current operator's license
