NYC & Company is seeking a full-time QA/Testing Manager with project management experience for its Digital team.

The official marketing, tourism and partnership organization for the City of New York, NYC & Company is dedicated to maximizing travel and tourism opportunities throughout the five boroughs, building economic prosperity and spreading the positive image of New York City worldwide.

The ideal candidate for this role should be comfortable working on a multidisciplinary team, in a fast-paced, highly-demanding environment. S/he will lead the testing of new products and features for NYC & Company’s digital properties, including online (, mobile and apps. This role requires a strong understanding of testing tools and methodologies, content publishing, and usability. Experience with eCommerce is highly preferred. Data analysis and some coding skills are a plus. In addition to being the sole owner/leader of quality assurance and testing, s/he will provide project management support to two project management leaders, and must have the experience to shepherd digital projects from inception through post-launch.

Responsibilities include:
-Development, hands-on execution and maintenance of test scripts
-Discovery, reporting, tracking and verification of bugs
-Clear, concise reporting on findings to help team members make decisions
-Creating QA guidelines to encourage ongoing best practices
-Vetting new designs to ensure that
-they meet project and business requirements
-front-end designs align with back-end capabilities
-Analysis of site-plan, design and development
-Functional, performance and regression testing
-Building user scenarios based on requirements
-Ongoing site evaluation and reporting on inconsistencies or issues
-Training and managing test teams when warranted
-Ensuring balanced consideration of end-user needs and business requirements
-Content management system and tool analysis
-Workflow analysis
-User experience analysis
-Documentation of new product features
-Collaborating closely with project managers, front-end developers, and back-end developers
-Project management: creating timelines, liaising with stakeholders, managing resources, trafficking deliverables, reporting; ensuring project success from initiating through planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, closing and post-launch activities.

Required skills/experience:
-5+ years experience managing QA for large-scale, content-driven sites
-2+ years experience as project manager of digital products/projects
-Experience with eCommerce is preferred
-Hands-on experience with a variety of test automation tools. Knowledge of various testing techniques and approaches
-Familiarity with software development process
-Experience with content management systems (Expression Engine a plus)
-Experience creating test-case scripts and scenarios
-Familiarity with integrating back-end functionality into front-end designs
-In-depth knowledge of usability and UI issues, coding best practices, WC3 standards, available client-side technologies, and current web development trends
-Experience working with source/version control and testing cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility
-Proven track record for high quality product delivery
-Familiarity with online task and issue management tools (Basecamp, JIRA a plus)
-Exceptional organizational skills
